
What are some of the Best Belgian Beers? Belgium along with Germany are the most prolific beer brewers in Europe and possibly the world. While Germany is better known for their quality beers, do as many people really know the quality of Belgian beer? It is just as good as German and some of our favourite beers come from Belgium.
The tradition of brewing beer in Belgium came from the monks who brewed the beer in their abbey, and no doubt were competing with other abbeys to see who could make the best beers. They would often sneak of to quiet corners of the abbey and cwoff down a beer when no one was looking. In Belgium you can often find higher alcohol levels in their beers a d is dubbels 6%, and a tripel is usually around 9%. Quadruples also exist.
Also according to news on the grapevine, wheat beers were first developed in Belgium. Wheat beers sometimes called white beer or blondes are a smooth easy to knock down type of beer and called good summer beers, although the wheat content makes it more fattening than other beers. The difference in taste comes mainly from replacing malt barley with wheat
10 Jupiler while Pilseners are the biggest selling beers, according to inside information, the pilseners in Belguim are not world-renowned quality, although Jupiler Pils is the 2nd biggest seller

2 Hoegaarden– this smooth wheat beer is as popular in Belgium as it is around the world. A wheat smooth wheat beer it is often served in a chalice style glass with a slice of lemon. Not bad, but it tastes better without the lemon
1 Wickse Witte Tripel This we discovered in Holland. It is a smooth wheat beer, and comes in triple, but be careful because of it’s alcohol content, it can get you drunker quicker. Street Talk Savvy’s favourite Belgian beer
