Important things to note in Chilean Spanish is that the “tu” in Chile is conjugated like in Italian. So “estay (estas)- you are, or tenay (tienes)- you have will be heard rather than the normal in brackets. Also the Chileans like Andalucia in Spain, most Argentinians, Puerto Ricans, drop the ‘s’ from their words but also in Chile ‘d’s” can also dissapear so ‘Chao Pescado” will become “Chao Pecao”
Quintessential Chilean
Po:- Chileans are renowned for their use of the Word “Po”. It’s really just a filler word. While having a mean “then” at the end of nearly every sentence it is not necessary. But you’ll hear it all the time
Guevon: – You’ll also hear the men especially use this one a lot. Literally it is “bigballs”, but it usually means idiot. It is both offensive and friendly, much as you would say to a friend “hey buggalugs”
¿Cachai?: “Do you understand me?

KetchuPaltaMayo ?
KetchupAvocadoMayo? Ketchup, Avocado, Mayonnaise? A question for what condiments you might want on your hamburger but said so as to sound like one word. It can even confuse a native Spanish speaker not from Chile
