With summer coming on some countries are starting to get up. No doubt Spain is one of them. Some people during this time are looking just to escape the heat of the beautiful country they are in. The beach is a good place to do that. With that in mind what better place to cool down than on the beach. Make sure you slap on some sunscreen every 3 hours, so you don’t become a lobster. Bring some water or what ever you consider a refreshing liquid, or head down the nearest chiringuito-beachbar for some ice cream and a bocadillo with tortilla española (bread roll with spanish potato omelette) and a cool cerveza-beer.
What could be better way to spend the summer than checking out the list of Spain most beautiful beaches to visit.
10 Conil de la Frontera– This beautiful beachside town on the Costa de Luz in Andalucia has a nice wide sandy beach, has the stunning backdrop of a typical white Andalucian town. Beacuse it is in the Atlantic the water quality is good. You can also find some surfable waves there on the odd occassion.
9 Ses Illetes, Formentera, Balaeric Islands, off the coast of Spain are the Balearic Islands, which contain Mallorca and Ibiza. Formentera is the smaller island of the group. All the water on these islands is tourquoise blue. The sand on Ses Illetes is white, with a stunning blue sea in front of you, and an amazing backdrop all around you

8 Platja Sitges, Barcelona Province. This is a nice beach with the stunning background of the picturesque little town of Sitges, which can be worth the visit
7 Tarifa– another wide sandy Andalucian beach. Behind the beach are sandunes, to the left the Strait of Gibraltar, and on the opposite horizon starting from 15km away, vivid views of the cliffs and cities of Marocco, on the continent of Africa. The town centre is good for tapas and nightlife in the warmer months.
6 Las Islas Cíes, a beautiful white sand beach, which is found on an island which is a National Park off the coast of Vigo in Galicia, Spain. The water is only good for swimming in summer though, because of cooler Atlantic currents accessing the point of Spain.
5 Cala Llevad, Girona. Is a a good beach to take a trip from the famous tourist destination of Lloret del Mar, and has a natural backdrop with pine trees on the surrounding hillside areas
4 Playa de la Andrin, Llanes, Asturias- When you find yourself in Llanes, you will be surprised how beautiful the area is. The quaint little town is a nice place to walk around, from the beach to the old town. The parties are great there on the weekend also. Just out of town is the closest surf beach Playa de la Andrin, with white sand, beautiful blue water, and a green island just far enough out to sea, not to block the waves, and close enough to marvel at it’s size and green top.
3 Playa Granadella, Javea, Valencia. This is a small but beautiful beach, tourquoise blue water, just outside of the touristic town of Javea near the city of Alicante
2 Cabo de Gata. A beautiful long white sandy beach, in the south east corner of Spain. It is a good out of the way place set in a National Park and again having beautiful tourquoise water
