La Fiesta de la Tanga in Colombia- G-String Festival

: These girls have had a plastic surgeon tamper with their butts

While online one day looking through Spanish speaking newspapers I noticed in Colombia they were holding a G-string contest in Cartagena, Colombia. I thought to myself (quietly) “how cool is that”. In Spanish it is called “la fiesta de la tanga“. For a man it is hard to watch. A whole heap of woman walking down a catwalk trying to win a contest not just for being beautiful, but for having the hottest butt.

Some time after I tried looking for some information for my Street Talk Colombian Spanish section, and couldn’t find that particular contest, but I found many others.

During my searches I found out that in Colombia there are many Fiestas de la Tanga staged around the year, to keep the local men happy.

For anyone around and about in Colombia here is a list of g-string festivals you can see.

Miss Tanga- Cartagena in December

Fiesta de la Tanga Manizales– is part of the Fair Manizales which is held in early January

Miss Tanga- Medellin – first week of January- beware the girls may look hot here, but as Medellin is the Colombian capital of plastic surgery, if you don’t like fake, breasts and even butts are augmented here

Miss Tanga- Feria de Bucaramanga– mid September

Miss Tanga Valle- in Club Praga, Cali, early October
